The Old Paths ministry began in the fall of 2003. Their name was suggested by Lamar Rackley and is based on Jeremiah 6:16 - ...Seek Ye the Old Paths..and Walk There in...
Though young in age, they collectively bring more than 40 years of experience singing Christian Music. They have been blessed with four top 30 songs in the Singing News charts along with countless others within the top 80. The Old Paths were nominated as a top 10 Horizon Group of the year in 2008 and are currently nominated as a top 5 Horizon Group for 2011 by Singing News Magazine. To date, The Old Paths have released 10CD projects and 3 DVDs.
Not only have the Old Paths been a mainstay in gospel music, but they are associated with and perform at & for the Georgia Baptist Convention, Dr. Jerry Vines Evangelism Ministries, Alabama Baptist Convention, various Pastor's conferences and meetings, and various community events.
The Lord has used Doug's testimony to reach drug addicts of every age and give hope and encouragement to parents, grandparents, and friends of substance abusers. Tim's testimony has reached many lost church members and even Christians that are not serving God as they should. Jeremy shares his testimony as a statement that even entertainers within Gospel Music can be lost, and never know of whom they sing about. Though large in stature, Daniel brings with him a gentle and meek spirit that exuberates each time he stands to minister.
The Old Path's mission is to uplift, encourage, minister, and present the gospel through music, testimony, and God's word.
